About Margaret Baldock

Margaret doesn’t call herself an author — she’s a writer, a teller of tales. Born in the village of Rhostryfan in North Wales, close to the historic slate quarries and beneath the mountains of Eryri, her imagination shaped by the places and people she has known all her life.
Now living in Amlwch on the Isle of Anglesey, Margaret is a member of the Just Write writing group. She has published novels, short stories, and children’s books — each one rooted in character, community, and an honest understanding of how ordinary people navigate extraordinary lives.
The places she comes from — Rhostryfan, the quarrying villages, the island of Anglesey — are not simply settings. They are part of how she sees people, and why she writes about them. You can read more about that relationship on the North Wales page.
Some earlier works were published under the name Margaret Evans.
